The term EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) refers to the peaceful coexistence of all types of transmitters and receivers of electromagnetic energy: transmitters should only reach the desired receivers, while receivers should only respond to signals from the specified transmitters. Electromagnetic compatibility is becoming steadily more important due to the growth in the number of functions and their increasing electrical connection in modern cars.
